Time to update

(Meet Willow - 5 month old black quarter horse mare - new addition to our farm family)

Cale is all ready for school this Thursday. Well, P4J that is! It's 4 yr old kindergarten. He's excited to go!

He had a dentist visit 2 weeks ago and was wonderful. He did everything they asked and they all loved him.

This past Thursday, he had his doctor visit and did great too. He impressed the nurse with his counting in Spanish. Our boy is 41 1/12 inches (72% - still pretty tall) and 36 lbs (48% - little below average). They aren't worried about his weight since it steadily goes up and he's very active and healthy.

Because it's Thursday....

Kobe is still adjusting to our home life. I thought he was doing really well with us and then we let his previous owners come visit this week. He's been a bit naughty and anxious since then. It could be his true colors, but he wasn't this bad last week. He did have surgery last week, but by the end of the week he was back to himself.

They want to come visit again in a few weeks. I'm hoping the more time he spends with us, the more comfortable he'll be, and when they leave he'll understand he's home now. We'll see.

Not too much is new with us. It's all really just about Kobe right now! It's funny though, because Cale and Kobe kind of argue like brothers. 'Kobe's in my room!', 'Kobe's drinking my milk!' (yes that really happened - without spilling!), 'Kobe's got my toy!'. You get the picture.

Kobe was neutered on Monday so he's moving slow. He's doing good though. He's eating and drinking and getting up to go outside. He does lay around a lot though, which is good.

Cale got to go to the Rock County Fair last Friday. He had so much fun. He got to see the cows, goats, sheep, ponies, pigs, emu, and rabbits. He got to ride on 3 rides too and loved them. He got to play the fish game where you throw ping pong balls at small fish bowls. We won 1 fish and some kids gave us 6 more. We took them to the farm and put them in the water tank. 2 have died so far. I didn't take the camera to the fair - I forgot and kept kicking myself for it. Cale had a great time and the pictures would have been fun.
