Midwest Horse Fair was great this year! The weather was decent and our rides were good. Tons of shopping and great horses/events to see too! Lots of people I knew showed up this year too, so that made it that much more fun.

Cale is doing well. Pretty sure he's hitting another growth spurt. Thought they were supposed to slow down on the growing by now?? His 2T pants are getting too short already. Geez! Summer is almost here so we'll try to hit some rummage sales for winter items! He still loves his trains!

This coming weekend is all about me and China! Finally! I look forward to this weekend all year long. Midwest Horse Fair in Madison! China and I volunteer for mounted horse patrol. We keep people from sneaking in without paying and answer questions for 3 hours each day. In return, we get in for free! Tons of shopping and famous horse people and demonstrations! It's a horse girl's dream! All about horses!

I will miss Cale and Jon but it's only for a few days and I'll be home every night.

It was 80 degrees today. Perfect weather to get China cleaned up. Tomorrow is supposed to be 75 with slight chances of rain later in the day, rest of the weekend, 60-65 and sunny. Really can't get too much better than that for mid April!

Cale had a good Easter this year. Meaning tons of candy and useless toys! But he loves it all! He even got to participate in his first ever Easter egg hunt. It was him and one other little girl. And a ton of grown ups. Check the pictures out!

Also, the tulips are blooming outside out front window too! I love them and decided to add them as well!

The weather has been a bit nicer the past week or 2, minus the weekends. But, this week is supposed to be 60-70 every day and possible rain next weekend. We'll take it! I love warmer weather and tons more riding! Midwest Horse Fair is coming up in a couple of weeks. Trying to get China ready to go again. Farrier is coming out in 2 weeks for shoes. Woo hoo!

We are trying to work on the potty training again. Cale lost all his trains to bad behavior at day care last week. He now has to earn them back. Today he told me twice he wanted to try to go potty because he wanted Thomas back. I hope this keeps working!!

Jon put new pinstipes on his truck today. Red instead of silver. Looks really sharp. I'll have to get pictures of it so everyone can see.

No, not pregnant. No, not another dog, cat, or horse.

Jon traded his 2 seater pick up for a nice newer SUV. This will be the last newer vehicle for him for awhile, he promised!! Jon absolutely loves his new truck. It's 2002 Toyota 4Runner.

I'm still searching for my newer vehicle. I've found a few I like but not the deals I want. I guess you could say that's my mom in me. I have a figure set in my head and I know what I want, and I'll get it too, if I wait long enough.....

Cale is doing well. The attitude from a 2 1/2 year old is very surprising some days. I've noticed it more since day care. I can't say it's Nancy's fault, but I do believe he picks up on things from the kids there. It can be very frustrating. I hate being the bad guy sending him to his naughty chair all the time. But then again, I don't want him telling me 'DON'T' 'STOP THAT' 'MINE' all the time either.

Cale's first train ride was yesterday. We took him to Mid Continent Rail Road in North Freedom WI. He was very excited. I think he enjoyed hearing the horns and seeing the trains more than actually riding on the train. It was a bit cold but over all, a fun day!

Some friends of ours went with as well - Josh, Charisse, and Wyatt. Wyatt and Cale were wearing their Thomas the Train shirts and one lady asked us if they were twins. Too funny considering Wyatt is a year younger than Cale, and at least 2 inches shorter!

Cale was so exhausted from the day that he actually slept most of the ride home!
