Nothing new really

This past weekend, Teresa, Freddie, and Cody sayed with us. The girls were here for one night too but had to go to their dad's. We had a full house but it's nice to see everyone and spend time with them. Cale learned to say Aun T (Auntie T) and Cody this weekend. We tried for Freddie but he didn't get it. Next time!
We got some snow/freezing rain/sleet this past weekend but luckily it melted away for the most part already. It's rainy today. Someday, we'll see the sun again and warm weather!
It's getting closer to the MidWest Horse Fair! Only 2 weeks away! I'm excited! Jon will be off of work that week so it makes my life a bit easier.
From the sounds of it, Jon will be laid off in May. He was hoping that he might not get laid off but they are confirming the exact numbers today.

We had an exciting weekend! Our friend Jen had her 2nd son this weekend! Congrats Jen and Kevin! They welcomed another boy to their family, Carter Andrew. We were lucky enough to get to help out and took Ryan for an hour so they could go to the hosptial. Hopefully this week we can make it out to see the new guy.

Nothing new to report on the job front. I'm still looking and applying. I've lost count at how many jobs I've applied for. It's very frustrating. I'm hoping something turns up soon!
Cale is doing well, as usual. Today, though, we found out that he doesn't like to share people. Meaning, he doesn't want to share mom or dad or Tracy with anyone. I kind of knew this before but dismissed it. Today, Tracy had another little one at day care and she was holding the little girl. Cale didn't like that too much. He wants everyone to himself. I suppose that comes with being the only baby in our house and at day care, most days.
The pictures - the one is of Cale shoving half a banana in his mouth, one is him and Tigger in his new Brewer's sweat shirt (thanks to auntie c), and the other one is of him in the front window making faces on the glass.

Cale is doing well. He's learned to scream when he's excited or mad. It's not fun. He also is learning to throw tantrums. We ignore him, hoping that they will go away or stop. The only time we correct him is if he's hitting us or the dogs or being mean. Otherwise, if he's crying, we just let him. He normally stops when he realizes we aren't paying attention to him.

We went to Mike and Krisanne's last night for dinner. It was nice to see them. Everyone is so busy lately! We taught Cale to say Rylee by the time we got there. It's so cute!!! Mike even got it on video! We are hoping he makes copies so we can send them to AZ and IN for the family!

Updates

In case you haven't heard, Jon will be laid off May 1st. We assume it's a permanent lay off and are trying to figure out how we are going to pay our bills. We might loose our house and default on some loans and credit cards. It's not a fun time around our house lately, lots of tears and worry. I have applied at over 12 different jobs in the past 5 days. I'm still looking and doing everything I can to get a full time job w/benefits. We will loose our healthcare once Jon is laid off.
We are trying to sell a few things to pay off some bills right now too. We each have trailers up for sale and are trying to figure out what else we have that someone might want to buy.
What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?!?!?!?!
Other than that, we are doing well. Cale is still teething, working on molars. He is more talkative and outgoing each day! It's great to see. Hope all is well!
