Just a few pictures from Christmas. Cale got a ton of toys and some clothes. It was a quiet day. We went to Grandma J's and then home.

~C.O.L.D~

The fields behind the barn.

China eating - not caring that it's -10

All the snow we've gotten in the past 2 weeks.

Jon's new tattoo.

It has been beyond cold the past couple of days. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 19 but drop down to -6 at night. Chance of 2-3 more inches of snow too! Two weekends ago we go 3-5, last weekend we got 4-6. Ugh, enough already! We can't even enjoy the snow because it's so cold. Cale asks every night if we can build a snow man or play outside, but it's been too cold to let him.

Jon got the start of a new tattoo last weekend. I'm not crazy about the idea of him spending money on ink on his arm, but I understand why he wants it. I guess when I turn 40 I'll understand more! LOL :)

Sledding!

Jon on China, Kristie on Tessa, and Cale

Jon wanted to ride China!! I had to get proof that he rode a horse!

Jon and Cale heading out.

Last weekend, we had pictures Saturday morning. Josh came over and did them for us. He's the same person who did my pictures with China. Our Christmas card/pictures have been ordered, and with any luck, they will be in the mail by Friday!

Since we got some snow Friday and Saturday, we went to the farm on Sunday and did some sledding. China has never seen a sled before, but she did pretty good with it. It was scary at first for her, but she did fine. She even pulled Jon for a couple of minutes. Kristie is a pro at horse sledding so she pulled Jon and Cale around for awhile. I even got to ride in the sled too. It was fun!

We also put up the tree on Sunday and Cale helped hang the oranments. He really seemed to enjoy that and he asks every night if he can plug the tree in.

Christmas shopping has started. I love ebay! We have to be a bit more discret this year, since Cale seems to remember everything now. We are even talking about taking him to Santa this year. Walgreens has Santa the next 2 weekends and it's free.

Turkey Day!

Jade, Cale, and Sydney

We did absolutly nothing for Thanksgiving. We were invited a few places and decided to stay home. We did have a few friends over in the evening for a couple of hours. Nothing special.

Jon's 40th birthday came and went. He seemed to have fun at his party. A lot of people showed up.

I'm still working a ton of hours. I'm hoping it gets better soon. All the cranky people can quit being cranky any time. It's no fun to be yelled at 20 times a day and have to put out 'fires' all day long. It's gotta get better!

Hoping to have Xmas cards out soon. I have an idea of what I want but still need to get them done.

Last week!

Cale, Grandma, and Rylee

It's been so busy again, or still! I thought things were supposed to slow down when fall arrived, but it hasn't!

Last Saturday, I took Jon to a WI Badgers football game against Indiana (early birthday gift). WI won 83-20. It was a lot of fun - even though it was cold and rainy!

Last Sunday, we did Xmas with my parents since it's time for them to be in AZ now, since it's getting colder here.

The past couple of weeks have been crazy busy for my work. I've been working a lot of overtime and even requested a laptop computer to bring home to work after Cale goes to bed. There seriously isn't enough hours in a day to get all this work done. Seneca purchased a company in PA a couple of months ago and decided it would be a good idea to put them into our computer system 3 weeks before Thanksgiving, one of the biggest, busiest holidays for food. Yea...it's been a rocky ride, to say the least. It's gotta get better, right?!?! :)

Jon's been doing some motorcycle work lately and making a little extra doing that. It's something he's good and enjoys. He's off work this next week and he says he's going to start working on the bathroom. Oh one can only hope! It'll be so nice to have a fully functional bathroom!!!

Lexy (the project horse) has been a bit challenging. Our first go around with her didn't go the greatest but we made progress. Kristie has been spending more time with her lately but we are both working with Lexy tomorrow. Still hoping to train her and sell her in the spring. She's smart, but stubborn.

And, finally, we got our pictures back from Josh. Josh is trying to start his own side business doing photography. He's doing really well with the pictures! I don't have a lot of great pictures of me and China, but now I do!

Wedding

This past weekend, my brother and Krisanne were married. We went to their reception/open house out at her parent's house. It was fun, except Cale decided to fall and crack his head. He still has the goose egg and bruise as a battle scar. I don't know if the pictures will show the bruise all that well, but it's still there! Poor kid!

Beyond that, there isn't too much new with us. Hoping this good weather lasts through Saturday afternoon!! I have Jon's birthday gift planned this weekend and it does involve the outdoors - rain or shine. I haven't given him any hints yet, so please don't say anything to him! And, let's hope for sun, not rain or snow! I can deal with the cold!

Halloween ~ 2010 ~ part 2

We took Cale out Trick-or-Treating last night with Josh, Charisse, and Wyatt. The boys did really well. Cale did most of the talking and Wyatt was just quiet and cute. Cale was Bumblebee, the Transformer Robot. Wyatt was Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon.

We went over to the Pennycook's neighborhood and hit the jackpot! There are houses over there giving out full, normal sized candy bars! We came home with at least 6. There's about 3 left I think! hahaha

Our project horse is a handful. Ugh. Stubborn and attitude! She's a spoiled rotten 3 yr old who has gotten her way by acting badly for the past 3 yrs. We now have to fix that. This winter will be interesting!

Halloween ~ 2010

L to R - little pumpkin from day care (crying face because Cale wouldn't help out), medium pumpkin from train ride with Great Aunt Diana and Grandma Nightengale, Jon's pumpkin, and mine is the big fat smiley face
All lit up!

Cale before the guts needed to come out.
Coloring last weekend - pretty sure he's going to be a lefty.

CHEESE!!

Squirrel outside the house last weekend. He's sitting in his little chair eating his corn.

Lexy! She's still got some growing to do, but we think she'll be as tall as China.

Jon and Lexy.

I'm going to try to make this quick since it's late evening here and about time for bed.

Work is getting busier for me. We are switching our new plant over to our computer system this weekend. I'm on call all weekend, which means, once the system is up and running, I will be called in to enter orders. It's out in PA and they pack frozen veggies and fruit. I'm going to be the customer service rep for this location now. Exciting and scary all at once. Means a lot of long hours for the next month or so!

We carved pumpkins last night. I thought for sure Cale would dig right in and help out. NOPE! He cried and screamed and gagged. I think the smell got to him. It was funny to watch though! Heidi and Jason came over and helped Jon carve the pumpkins while I cleaned off the seeds and roasted them.

Today, while waiting to be called into work, we did a lot of cleaning and laundry. Then, this evening, Kristie and my new project was delivered to the farm. Her name is Lexy and she's a 3 year old registered paint mare. We went up past Green Bay last weekend to pick her up and she wouldn't load in the trailer. Her owners brought her down today for us. She was given to us, in hopes to train her and find her a good home. She's our project over the winter. She's got a long road ahead of her.

Tomorrow night, we are heading out to Heidi and Jason's neighborhood for Trick-or-Treating with Wyatt, Josh, and Charisse. Should be fun!!

Fall Fun

Just a quick note.

We had another busy weekend! Jon got to go drag racing with some friends on Saturday and Cale and I went down to watch for a couple of hours. It's fun but a 3 year old could really care less. He watched but would have rather run around and be crazy. On the way home, Cale and I stopped at the Apple Hut for apples and then ran to Grandma N's for pumpkin patch pictures.

When we got home, Cale and I decided to rake leaves and play in them.

Sunday, I rode China, of course, and Jon worked on his bike and the garage.
