Pumpkins and Kobe

All the pumpkins lined up on our bench outside.

Pet pumpkins - L to R - Miles, Sammie, Jade, Kobe, Willow, and China.

My pumpkin, from a stencil.

All the pumpkins lined up. Heidi and Jason and Jon did most of the carving.

Kobe on Saturday. We got to visit him outside. He's a lot happier outside, even when he was home with us before the accident. They took the bandages and splint off his right front leg on Friday. It wasn't really helping support and he was getting annoyed with it.

Me and Kobe. He's a good boy!!!

Kobe and Cale.

Kobe on Friday night. They put a smiley face on his bandages. It matched his mood! He was so happy to see us!

Kobe

Pirate face!

At the vet clinic

Saturday (blue bandage) - he could only lay on his side and roll over.

Sunday (green and yellow - Packer fans??) - sitting up on elbows and moving his back end around more.

Our dog!! He gets so happy to see us that they have to hold him down.

As many of you know, our new dog, Kobe, was hit by a truck on Friday. He's up in Madison at a vet for now.

He's got nerve damage to his right front leg to the point that he can't use it or bare weight on it after the elbow. They think the damage might be permanent, but we won't know for sure for a few months.

His left front leg has broken toes and damage to his wrist and skin on the leg. That's the leg that is wrapped. The surgeon will look at him on Monday and let us know what the next step should be.

The vet believes Kobe will need supports/splints/boots to both front legs. Hopefully, once the left front heals, he will be able to bare all weight there.

His back end is good and his head too. He's still Kobe. We love him and miss him.

We took Cale and Rylee to Skelly's Farm Market last weekend. The kids had a great time.

This weekend was busy again. The weather has been great so it's nice to spend time outside walking dogs, playing with horses, going to parks, or helping friends.

Busy day

MudFest - our friends, the Pennycook's, put on MudFest every year. They have different 'classes' for different types of vehicle and 2 different pits to run through. If people get stuck, they have a tractor to pull them out.

One of the trucks in the shallow pit. (Jon is on the left side - orange shirt / he was helping out by helping tow the broken down trucks out of the pit area)

Cale, Kristie, and Roxy on the trails by our barn after MudFest. We are having pictures done again next weekend and were looking for places around the barn. We like this field.

Train tracks close to the barn. We're thinking about bringing the horses here next weekend for pictures.

Cale and me posing!

Cale on the tracks. He really liked it, but doesn't look like it in this picture.

Kobe, Cale, and Jade this morning before MudFest.

All the army guys!
