Cale's first visit to Hooters

At least it's his first visiti with mom. I'm assuming Jon hasn't taken him there yet. Either way, no biggie! After we watched all the bikes leave for the Tub Run, we decided to grab lunch at Hooter's. We had a long morning of rummage saling and watching bikes leave, we needed some pampering.

Cale was a huge hit at Hooter's. Who wouldn't love the cutest kid in the world??? We even got them to take down a display tee shirt and sell it to us. All the waitresses signed the back of the shirt too. I think Jon was jealous that he wasn't there for all our fun! (The tee shirt reads: Hooter Girls can't keep their hands off me!)

Kutter HD MDA Tub Run

L to R - Danielle (Cindy's daughter), Cindy, Charisse, Andrea - Girls I work with.

Today was the annual Kutter Harley Davidson MDA Tub Run. Jon and some friends joined in again this year. Normally, there is over 2000 participatants, including riders and passangers. This year was no exception. I haven't heard the final count yet, but it took over 20 minutes to get the bikes out and going, two by two. It's for a great cause and it's wonderful to see so many people getting involved.

We took some pictures as the bikes were leaving. Jon is on the red sport bike.

Just another week

Not too much new to report here. Jon's been working with a friend this week installing windows in a house. I've been in training at work for another computer system. Nothing like teaching you a job one way then then teaching you another way 4 weeks later. It was a bit frustrating today but the good news is that I didn't give up and I did learn a few things. There's always tomorrow to learn more.

Cale is talking up a storm these days. Since he pretty much repeats everything we say now, we've been working on counting and the alphabet. He's so stinking smart! He's not even 2 yet and the things he understands and can say.....and do......He can count from 6 to 10 by himself. He can do one and two as well but 3 thru 5 he still needs help. The alphabet, he repeats what we say. I know each parent is proud of their child and thinks their child is so smart, but honestly, Cale is really smart! He's going to be smarter than Jon and me by 5 years old! Ha ha!

Bike rides, playing outside, new hair do

Since the weather has warmed up a little bit, Cale has been outside A LOT!!! He asks to go to the park or ride on the bike all the time. It's a good thing Jon is home during the day to keep him entertained! :)

We just buzzed his hair today. WE think it's cute! I've been wanting to do it for awhile now. I have to cut Cale's hair every 3 weeks and it's a project. Now, I can maybe let it grow for 4-5 weeks!
Cale's 2nd birthday is coming up soon. We have started to plan it, kind of. We have the guest list figured out and think we are going to do a cook out this year. There won't be as many people invited so we can afford to feed people! Not sure yet what we want to get him though. Any gift ideas for a 2 year old??? We were thinking some bigger toys for outside, since he seems to love being outdoors.
