Introducing Kobe - Our new dog

Kobe is our new dog. He's pure breed American Rottweiler. He's 1 1/2 yrs old. We got him from a family in Monroe. He is full of energy and needs some training.

He's a good dog though! He's house trained, sits, stay, down. He does jump up on people so we're working on that. In the past 3 days since we've had him, he's pretty much quit jumping on us. He does get wound up quickly and then jumps on you. We're trying to stop him from that.

We have to teach him how to walk better on a leash too. I took him for a walk tonight and he did pretty good.

He gets neutered, microchipped, and heart worm test next Monday. On August 29th, he has his hips xrayed for hip displiasia. September 15th, he starts obedience classes at the JVL Beloit Kennel Club.

He doesn't mind the cats and Jade and him get a long well. He's more active than her, but she doesn't mind him.

Kristie bought Cale this Tee Ball set. He does pretty good hitting it - only knocks over the tee half the time.

Time sure has gone by fast the past 4 years.

We celebrated Cale's 4th birthday on his birthday this year. We tried to keep the party small by inviting only family and close friends. I think we had 18 people show up. It was pretty crowded in our living room for a little while!

Cale got a ton of toys and clothes. He even got some swimming/pool toys! He had a great time.

Another busy weekend

Last weekend was extremely full with activities and this weekend was too!

I took a day and a half off this week to spend time with friends and the horses. I took China to the vet to have her lady parts checked over. She was kicked twiced this winter and we weren't sure if she'd need surgery to repair. But, it all looks ok for her.

Then, we rode the horses from the farm to Afton for dinner with friends. It was a nice ride.

Last night, we had a bonfire at the farm for Kristie's birthday. It was fun!

Today, grocery shopping and decoration shopping for Cale's 4th birthday.

China is wearing a grazing muzzle to help keep her girlish figure. She gets a little chunky in the summer.

Busy weekend ahead!! Quick update!

Jon went fishing at Gibbs Lake this morning. Cale, Teresa, Kristie, and I went to Riverside Park. Then we took the dogs to Palmer's Dog Park. Later tonight, bonfire at Jennifer & Eli's.

Tomorrow is a cook out at Charisse and Josh's house. And, it's Teresa's birthday. Not sure yet what the plans are for the day.

Monday, China gets new shoes and Kristie and I are taking the horses to Gibbs Lake to ride and play in the lake.
